In most places in the US, it's turned cold and has even started to snow! In Las Vegas on the other hand, it's still around 70 degrees thankfully! We are taking full advantage of the nice, sunny, no-wind weather to go out and enjoy Lake Mead on our boat.
If you've never been there before - it's huge and the whole thing can't be seen from just one vantage point. We can zoom along in the boat at almost 55 mph for 45 minutes and still not reach one side to the other. Its just that massive. Look it up on a map. Yes, its really super gigantic.
While we were out there, the weather was just perfect for sailboats and there were probably 30+ sailboats on the lake. They are very cool to look at and watch go by, but I am not a sailboat person. Not even close. It's like fishing for me - boring and a lot of waiting to do something cool. But the something cool doesn't make up for the lots of waiting. (I don't mean to offend all of you avid sailboaters. Like I said, it's just not for me.)
This is the part for me - scuba diving! I didn't get great pictures today (I barely even got people in the shot!), but you get the idea. (And I sure wasn't going to take my DSLR out to the lake. I'm just too clumsy and there's a very good chance it would be going in the water.) So my iPhone pictures will have to suffice around water. :-)
