Being able to see clearly is something that can easily be taken for granted. My girlie has had to wear glasses since second grade. Every year since, her eyes continue to decline and her prescription get worse and worse. (Sorry, honey, but genetics is against you in this category!) Sometimes it's twice a year we have to go to the eye doctor because her vision isn't so hot! This time, she only went five months between visits because her prescription changed enough to warrant new lenses. I tell the eye doctor it's just because we want to see him more often, but I don't think he buys it.
On a positive note, I'm happy to say we can make those visits to the eye doctor happen, and also get her new glasses and/or lens when necessary. Some families aren't so lucky. With one or more visits in the last five years, I think we need to start an Eye doctor/Glasses Savings Fund for her future! We especially need a Fix-My-Vision-Surgery-Type Fund for when her prescription is over-the-top bad.
Don't you love how she covers her face when the camera comes out! And I didn't even have my big camera with me, just my iPhone....(mostly because I didn't have the nerve to bring my big camera to into the office. I'm just not there, yet). :-)
